Landing Helicopter Amphibious Assault Ship's (LHA's) Mission Statement

The mission of the Landing Helicopter Amphibious Assault Ship is
to put ashore Marine Expeditionary Units using helicopters and MV-22B
Osprey V/STOL transport aircraft.

Air support is provided via on board AV-8B Harrier II V/STOL aircraft,
F-35 Lightning II V/STOL aircraft, and various attack helicopters.
